Il Borgo Analogico
(The Analog Village)

Il Borgo Analogico is a photographic project realised in Pollina, a small village in the province of Palermo. No digital tools were used during the production. Only paper, pen, photographic paper and a couple of boxes.

The photos were taken using a wooden box from Museo della Manna and a tin box of manna candies, turned into pinhole cameras. Ten of the photographs were printed on small ceramic tiles and placed in small alleys of the village.
Each photo is accompanied by brief texts, stolen conversations or small poems, which flowed from our encounters with the residents of Pollina. Both pinhole cameras are now exposed in Museo della Manna.
