Recorded between January and June 2023, on hold is the product of a live soundtracking of a short film, curated by Homeless Movies / L’Ambulante, which took place in November 2022 in Cagliari.
The title, on hold, refers to a constant feeling of tension and anticipation conveyed by the aesthetic of the tracks.
The work is characterized by influences from ambient and hip hop genres, where highly elongated and repetitive sequences of synthetic sounds alternate with deep basses and rhythmic sections derived from samples.
The graphic design was entirely curated by Matteo Orani using material from the archive kindly provided by Homeless Movies / L’Ambulante.
Released by the label SUPRANU Records, on hold is available in a limited edition cassette format, adding a more tangible listening experience.
