Resulting from the experimentation based on many hours of images taken on several formats (8mm, Super 8mm, 16mm, VHS, Digital), the research project “Assembling and Disassembling Imaginaries” aims to achieve film products by using pre-existing images and stock footage. How? Through their combination, placing them in a new context, depriving them of their original meaning and giving them a new one, coming from the juxtaposition of video fragments from different time periods and techniques. The main goal of the project “Assembling and Disassembling Imaginaries” is to test a working method which can be synergistic and to produce collective film works.
